I should have posted last night, but was shattered again.

Went out early to get my exercise in. Completely forgot that walking to the station and back in the evening (for a nanowrimo write-in in Preston, twenty minutes away by train) would account for two thirds of my daily steps target on its own.
Wouldn't have minded, but I got completely drenched by morning rain. And while I was out, I got a phone call from the landlord. Their guy had come round to check our boiler and oven, and issue a new gas safety certificate. When they told me he was going to come, I'd given my housemate the time and date so she could put it in her calendar. But it turns out she didn't, because she expected me to remind her on the day.

That stress over with, I managed to get very little writing done. 3418 words in total.

I'm really struggling with my nanowrimo project now. I've got the characters developing themselves, and exploring a new world, but I've kind of run out of major exposition to give them, and they need to be getting back on their rails. But since this time last month, I've forgotten where they were heading.

Also spent an hour looking for decent photos of a yo-yo that I can use for a book cover. Why are they so hard to find? And why is the search feature on Adobe Stock so awful?
As a stock image site, I'm amazed they never thought to have any kind of category for background type. I mean, you can search for images that have an area suitable for adding text; but you can't easily search for images with a plain or transparent background that can be cut out easily.

Ah well. Starting to feel anxiety building again, but I can keep going and get over it.

That WOULD be a really sensible then for them to have as a searchable category from a user standpoint. I wonder how difficult it would be for them to implement that, if you suggested it to them. Are categories for the images created/selected by the uploader, for example?
