Day of no words
Dec. 18th, 2018 11:22 amWell, it's been a long time since I posted here.
I had a few bad days, and then the motivation to tell everyone about it fades away, and posting how I'm getting on for accountability no longer feels so motivating. After that, I decided to cut down on procrastination by giving my housemate/carer a list of social media places. She can tell me where to post each day to make sure I'm not los ing touch with other people; make sure I'm putting in some time to stay in touch with online friends even when the anxiety is overwhelming. But she seems to have decided that only Facebook is worth posting on; which is a little stress-making to me because all my activity over there is basically my author page, and I've long got used to the fact that people I actually know will never see anything I post.
So… this is me picking up the slack by myself, to give you a glimpse of what I've been up to lately.
Today, I mostly got wet. This is where I've been walking:

Though my fitness tracker app tells me that's a new record for how far I walked in an hour, managing 4.45 miles. I say that's not too bad; guess the rain urged me to hurry instead of playing with my phone.

My friend, housemate, and editor April has been working through a manuscript titled Rainbow since the middle of October. I threw together a quick mock up of a cover earlier this week. Still not sure about the title; and I think this probably gives the wrong kind of first impression. But I'd like to see what you think of my first attempt; is this something you might pick up, and what kind of book would you expect it to be?
Also threw together a quick sketch of the layout of some main characters around their conference table. They call themselves Rainbow Knights (somewhat ironically), and their powers are colour themed, so I figured the diagram would be good to have.

I've also got to share this QR code; it looks like the latest revision of Samsung Health lets you add friends using one of these, rather than saying "You don't have any friends. You should add some." and giving no way to do so.
Anyone want to help motivate me on the fitness front as Christmas approaches?
What have you guys been up to since you last heard from me?
